Authorized Worlds are creator-controlled, non-canon fan-fiction programs hosted inside City Pixels. A rights holder defines the permitted sandbox and rules; participating fan writers create and control their own original characters, projects, and prose within that sandbox.
What governs participation

- Every Authorized Worlds fan project remains non-canon unless a separate outside agreement expressly says otherwise.
- A fan writer does not receive ownership of the underlying world or its protected intellectual property.
- A world owner does not receive ownership of a fan writer’s original character or prose merely because the project was approved, featured, popular, or hosted in the world.
- Fan writers may not use another fan writer’s character or distinctive expression without separate permission that satisfies the world rules and applicable law.
- Commercial exploitation of the derivative fan work is prohibited by default unless the rights holder gives separate written permission.
Current pilot limitation
Authorized Worlds plan billing and paid public participation are not currently enabled. City Pixels may also limit or pause new public submissions while final attorney-reviewed program documents are being completed.
