This Privacy Policy explains how Fallen House Media LLC collects, uses, stores, and shares information through City Pixels™ by Side Eye Tom™. It covers public visitors, free reader accounts, writers, City Claim inquiries and purchasers, and people who contact the platform.
1. Information you provide
- Account information: email address, password hash, time zone, locale, verification status, and account status.
- Reader information: optional display name, follows, Pixel Pins, Pixel Props, Story Trail activity, Pixel Passport records, notification preferences, and related account activity.
- Writer information: author or pen name, biography, website and social links, books, cover images, stories, Story Trails, city connections, media, drafts, revision history, and moderation submissions.
- Claim and business information: claimant name, business or project name, city, public link, claim materials, billing or transaction references, acknowledgements, and support records.
- Communications: contact forms, content reports, support requests, emails, and other messages sent to City Pixels.
2. Information collected automatically
City Pixels and its hosting or service providers may collect browser type, device information, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, approximate network information, security events, and cookies or browser storage needed for sessions and site functions. Some analytics and abuse-prevention records use privacy-preserving hashed visitor or network identifiers rather than displaying raw identifiers in platform reports.
3. Cookies and session storage
City Pixels uses a first-party session cookie to keep signed-in users authenticated and may use browser storage for interface state, continuation links, preferences, or feature operation. Blocking essential cookies may prevent account features from working.
4. How information is used
Information may be used to create and secure accounts; verify email addresses; provide reader and writer tools; display approved public content; personalize Pixel Streams and notifications; process City Claims and payments; review submissions; prevent fraud and misuse; measure site operation and discovery; respond to support requests; enforce policies; maintain records; and comply with law.
5. What becomes public
Email addresses, passwords, private reading activity, and unpublished drafts are not intended for public display. Approved author names or pen names, biographies, links, books, stories, Story Trails, City Claim materials, and other content submitted for public publication may be visible to anyone and may appear in search engines or be shared by visitors.
6. How information may be shared
Information may be shared with hosting, email, security, analytics, storage, banking, payment-processing, and technical service providers only as reasonably needed to operate City Pixels. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the business or platform assets.
7. Payments
Payment card or bank credentials should be entered only through an approved payment provider. City Pixels may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, payer details, amount, and limited billing information needed for records and support, but does not intend to store complete card numbers or bank-account credentials in its ordinary website database.
8. Sale and targeted advertising
City Pixels does not currently sell personal information or use account information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If those practices change, this policy and any legally required choices will be updated before the change takes effect.
9. Retention
Information is kept for as long as reasonably needed to operate accounts and features, maintain publication and moderation records, complete transactions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, meet tax or legal obligations, and protect the platform. Retention periods vary by record type. Deleted or unpublished material may remain temporarily in backups, audit logs, legal records, or transaction records.
10. Security
City Pixels uses reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information, including password hashing, email verification, session controls, access restrictions, and rate limits. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and contact City Pixels promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.
11. Your choices and requests
You may update available account and profile settings, change notification preferences, unpublish or revise eligible drafts, and contact City Pixels to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy assistance. Some information may be retained when required for transactions, security, legal obligations, enforcement, or legitimate business records. Applicable state law may provide additional rights.
12. Children
City Pixels accounts are not intended for children under 13, and City Pixels does not knowingly collect personal information through an account from a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 created an account or provided personal information, contact City Pixels so the issue can be reviewed and the information removed where appropriate.
13. United States operation
City Pixels is a U.S.-focused platform operated from the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States through City Pixels and its service providers.
